Resilience: learning to cope with the pressures of daily life

Whether it’s workplace stress, financial worries, illness, bereavement or extreme trauma, life has a habit of throwing a curveball our way, sometimes when we least expect it.  But how are some people able to adapt to adversity and emerge intact on the other side, while others are totally overwhelmed, finding it impossible to ‘bounce back’ from hardship?
