A learning plan helps you achieve your short and long term learning goals. It helps you set what you want to achieve in a term or academic year. It is a way that you and the college can evaluate your learning experiences and progress. Your individual learning plan can help you to choose the courses that will help you achieve your goals. The plan will also make sure you receive any learning support needs you may have. For example, we can offer easy-read or large print handouts, arrange hearing loops or help with other access requirements.
You will use the plan to track your progress and achievements. Setting targets or learning goals helps students get the most out of studies. At the end of your course we will ask you to review these goals and the course outcomes. This will help you measure your own progress, record your achievements and decide your next steps.
If you would like to download an individual learning plan you can here. There are instruction on the form about how to complete it yourself. If you can, please email it back to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, post it us at New Leaf Wellbeing College, Trefoil House, Red Lion Lane, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9TE or you can hand it to your tutor. We will keep a copy and give you it back so you can track your learning. If you are unsure about completing a learning plan you can attend our "Setting your learning goals" short course where staff or volunteers can help you.
As well as you using the learning plan to track your progress, information will also be used anonymously to evaluate the college.
