About the Course
We are excited to be offering this co-produced & co-facilitated trauma-informed course designed to improve staff confidence and understanding in supporting the recovery journey of people who may experience complex emotional needs. This trauma-informed course is for staff at all levels and roles who want to increase their confidence, skills, and capabilities when supporting people who may have been given a diagnosis of personality disorder.
The course explores;
- Different perspectives around complex mental health needs associated with the diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’
- Different ways of understanding complex mental health needs through examining how someone’s past experiences can affect their present
- It reflects on different approaches to working with people with complex mental health needs and the impact of reactions and responses
- The impact of working with people with complex mental health needs on the wider team
The three-day course is suitable for staff that provide direct support to people who have been given a diagnosis of personality disorder. If you do not work for HPFT, please contact us at newleaf.wellbeingcollege@nhs.net as there is a charge to attend this course.Please note that you must be able to attend all 3 days.
