We're delighted to welcome Shiblu (Shibz) to New Leaf Recovery and Wellbeing College as our new Lead Practice Tutor.
Shibz will be supporting our tutors and course delivery, helping to create engaging, inclusive and recovery-focused learning experiences for students. He brings a wealth of experience from a variety of NHS and education settings, including inpatient services, Talking Therapies, Recovery Colleges, CAMHS, and secondary education.
Passionate about co-production, wellbeing, and recovery education, Shibz is committed to helping students and staff learn, grow, and thrive together.
Yesterday, Shibz said:
"I truly feel i am where I am meant to be"
Outside of work, football has played a big part in Shibz's life, teaching him valuable lessons about resilience, overcoming setbacks, and starting again. This ties into his reply when we asked him what his favourite colour was:
Brown, inspired by autumn and its sense of warmth, change, and new beginnings.
Students may meet Shibz on courses and at College events over the coming months, so please do say hello when you see him. We're thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm he brings to the College.
