About the course

This workshop explores the role of acceptance in aiding personal recovery and mental wellbeing for those in psychological pain.

You will hear a student’s personal story about how acceptance has helped them in times of emotional pain and led them to experience life more fully, without as much struggle and with the vitality of commitment towards doing what matters.

Learning Objectives:

  • To understand what we mean by the terms personal recovery and acceptance
  • To understand what the barriers might be to personal recovery and acceptance
  • To explore strategies that: 
    • help with acceptance
    • help with commitment to your values

This course takes place over three hours in one session.
