About the course

Assertiveness is an important skill in life.  It enables us to express our needs to others and assert important boundaries, and make choices in our lives.  This 3 session course of 2 hours each session explores different communication styles, and gives you an opportunity to think about how you commonly communicate and how this is working for you.  There is a practical focus with the opportunity to try out assertiveness skills in a friendly and supportive environment. 

Aims and Objectives.

  • Understand what assertiveness is, what it is not and think about your own communication style
  • Understand when might you choose to be assertive
  • Learn and practise some assertiveness tools

This course takes place over Six hours in three sessions
